National Denim Day

This year we are teaming up the CURE Foundation for Breast Cancer on May 15^th for National Denim Day. This event encourages people to donate $5 to the CURE Foundation so they can wear Denim to work on the Tuesday after Mother’s Day. This event has been going on since 1996 when the CURE Foundation was funded. The CURE Foundation then takes the donations and uses it to purchase hospital equipment, fund clinical research and support those living with breast cancer including providing transportation for treatment and financial assistance for low income households. Last year alone 400,000 people from across Canada participated to show their support. The best part of National Denim Day is that you can participate no matter where you work. Even if you normally wear denim on a daily basis, you can still donate $5 to the CURE Foundation and wear a pink ribbon. All Southwest Branches will be participating in this event and we look forward to showing off pictures of the best outfits of the day through our Social Media Channels.
