Promotional items are a great way to get your name out there and to remind people about you and you’re your services whenever they look or use it. Since these are such a powerful tool, it’s important to know when to use them. Here are 6 examples of when you should be using promotional supplies.
- Trade Shows & Conference: There are going to be a lot of people vying for the attention of the attendees all at once. If you’ve ever attended one of these events as a visitor, you know that it is hard to remember what you talked about (and to whom) at the end of the day. That’s why having a promotional item to hand to attendees is so important. This way when they are going through their bag of goodies at the end of the day, it will spark their memory of your company and (unlike a flyer) will be kept and used in the future.
- New Customers: It takes on average 7 impressions of your company before you gain a new customer. Don’t let all that work go to waste after their first purchase. You want to make sure that your new customer becomes a repeat customer and what better way to do that then to send them a thank you note with a special promotional item for them to keep on their desk (and keep you top of mind the next time they are ordering).
- Employees: People tend to forget that employees are the best way to get your name out there. People trust their peers and who better to convince someone new to buy from you then someone who works with you day in and day out. So give items with your name on it to your employees to show off when they are not at work. You never know who will see it and what conversations might spark from it.
- Existing Customers: It’s easy to focus only on getting new customers and forget abut the ones who have always been there for you. Show your existing customers how much you appreciate them by sending them a gift (which just so happens to have your name on it). After all, if you treat your customers’ right, they will never have a reason to look anywhere else.
- Events: Hosting your own events is a great way to get your name out there. And just like at children’s birthday parties, people expect to receive a gift on their way out. Don’t disappoint by giving them someone to remember the great time they had and another reason to talk about it to everyone they know.
- Holidays and Special Occasions: Everyone loves a good party, and if you are catering to the corporate world you can bet that your customers are going to ask you for donations and prizes for their festivities. Show them what a great supplier you are by giving them a promotional item that everyone will want to win. Don’t forget to include your company name in a tucked away spot so they remember who it is from once the party is over.
